It's an incredible 'clean sweep' in Grenland!

Fresh from winning in Arvika 3 weeks ago, Oliver Solberg went one step further in Grenland (Norway) to record his first ever ‘clean sweep’, winning every single race on his way to a 4th RallyX Nordic victory of his career.

Having shown great speed and resilience in both Höljes and Arvika, confidence was high ahead of the 3rd round of the season. There was also a big battle raging at the top of the Championship Standings, with only 11 points separating the top 4 and only 4 rounds to go. However, things didn’t all start perfectly for Oliver in Norway, with a small issue in practice limiting him to a single run.

That didn’t seem to make much difference when the lights went out though – Oliver led from start to finish in Q1, Q2 and Q3 to end top of the Intermediate Standings, and secure pole position for the semi-finals. And the pattern continued right through the day, with another lights to flag victory in the semi, and then another dominant performance in the final, to ensure he took maximum points back home to Sweden.

It was an incredible performance of speed and consistency from a 16-year old driver who continues to show maturity beyond his years. And with Bryntesson retiring from the semi-finals, it also meant Oliver jumped to the top of the Championship Standings, 4 points ahead of Bryntesson and 15 ahead of Oliver Eriksson.

Oliver said: "To win all of my races in such a dominant way is amazing! It certainly wasn’t easy, I was working really hard to ensure I had clean races but I drove at my best throughout. It’s especially exciting to win like this in Norway. There are a lot of fans and Norwegian people here, so it is fantastic to have such a perfect weekend in front of everyone.”

“It is great for the championship too and I am thrilled to be leading the standings now. You can be certain we will come back from the summer break fighting and ready to push for the title!”

"As always I have to say a huge thanks to the whole OSRX team – and I’m glad I didn’t give them too much to fix this weekend. In fact I think the only work after the event is to clean mosquitoes off the front bumper! Thanks also to Circle K and all our partners, family, friends and fans for their support.”
